Music Technology

The Department of MUSIC TECHNOLOGY focuses on research and education involving the fundamental principles of sound engineering.
The Department endorses, coordinates and manages fundamental and applied research, education and technology transfer. It does so through the disciplines of: Acoustic and Psychoacoustic, Signal Processing and Filters, Microphone Techniques for RECORDING, techniques for Editing and Mix, Sound Design, Audio Restoration, Music Theory, Technology of MIDI and Computer Music.

The main aim of the Department is to create an advanced technical profile, in the field of sound engineering: in this way significant problems arising the sound source, including recording and post-production aspects, are afforded and analyzed, accounting for both the technical and the artistic points of view.
